The Wiana Foundation organized the sixth training workshop, “How to Manufacture Educational Tools,” as part of a series of workshops in the project, “Raising the Capabilities of Workers in Nurseries, Rehabilitation Centers, and Early Intervention Centers,” in cooperation with the Heliopolis Administration for Social Solidarity.
The training workshop was held in the presence of Ms. Yousriya Abu Zeid, Executive Director of the Wayana Foundation, and Mr. Ashraf Al-Waziri, Head of the Rehabilitation Department at the Heliopolis Administration for Social Solidarity.
The training workshop was presented by Ms. Iman Arafa Hussein, special education and educational methods specialist. The training workshop included learning how to manufacture a large number of educational aids, including identical cards, forming stories, and methods for learning colors, numbers, and letters of the alphabet using various materials while using some available tools such as recycling.
The trainer pointed out that educational methods and tools have an effective role because they help develop children’s ability to notice things and various exercises that increase concentration, such as matching, similarity, colors, and other exercises that make learning deeper and more sustainable, and help expand children’s areas of knowledge depending on their capabilities and mental abilities…
All trainees participated in making many different educational tools, as shown in the attached pictures.
