Wayana International Foundation for Awareness and Integration of People with Disabilities into Society participates in the integration camp held at Beit El Wadi in Wadi Natroun.
Our goal in this inclusion camp is to empower individuals and youth to achieve tolerance and acceptance in diverse societies.
Activities from the first day at the integration camp held in Beit El Wadi in Wadi El Natroun, where the focus on the first day was on distinguishing between three concepts: self-concept, self-realization, and self-esteem for the ability to see the value of others, regardless of their category.
The integration camp includes young people from 16 to 21 years of age, including Sudanese immigrants, young people with disabilities, and Egyptians from all governorates of Egypt and from private and governmental schools and universities, in order to achieve integration into society.
In continuation of the integration camp activities, on the second day, participants learned about mental health and how to take care of it in a proper way, as well as expressing their thoughts and feelings and ways to differentiate between them to promote integration.
The camp witnessed challenges of sports activities and group games to achieve cooperation among the participants.
Ambassador Nabila Makram participated in the second day of the integration camp in Wadi Natroun, where she explained the important message of that camp, which is accepting and understanding the feelings of others, regardless of the difference in groups, #our_difference_from_each other_helps_us_learn, and she shared with the young people the most important things they learned from the integration camp.
Concluding the activities of the inclusion camp, which lasted over three days, the third day focused on changing the participants’ perception of others through sessions and activities on respect for diversity, empathy, and active listening to achieve integration into society and to consolidate the idea of self-acceptance and acceptance of others, regardless of their group.
