Inclusive Education
In order to be able to change the society’s view of people with disabilities, Wayana International Foundation worked to spread awareness by integrating more than 1,000 children in 150 Egyptian schools (private – international) not only by creating a resource room inside already integrated school, but also through offering innovative resolutions that would create the change we wish to see in our community like:
– Developing the skills of specialists and teachers
– Develop technical skills for schools
– In addition to linking the Egyptian educational community and the Middle East with the latest developments in the field of educational integration through educational workshops and seminars, with information and important global experiences in this field

– A cooperation protocol was signed with EMC2 to transform Fatima Anan School in Cairo Governorate into an inclusive school and implement the inclusive education program there.
– Signing a cooperation protocol with Pioneers of the Future International School to establish a disability support unit within the school and implement the inclusive education program there.
– Holding a cooperation protocol with the British International School in Al-Rehab city to conduct awareness campaigns on inclusive education and raise awareness within the school environment about the rights of people with disabilities.
– Training students at the American University in Cairo to raise awareness of the rights of people with disabilities in education.
– Signing a cooperation protocol with Al-Raed International School to establish a disability support unit within the school and implement the educational integration of students attached to the school.
– Signing a cooperation protocol with Lamar International School to establish a disability support unit inside it and implement the educational integration of students enrolled in the school.
– A cooperation protocol was held with Misr El Kheir Foundation in 2011 to finance the inclusive education project in 35 general education schools in the governorates of Fayoum and Beni Suef, and the amount of funding is one million Egyptian pounds, through which all teachers, 50 room and resource specialists, and 50 psychological and social specialists were trained. A full-year awareness program in 35 schools – 35 resource rooms in schools with one room for each school – assessment of students with disabilities and the preparation of a complete file for each student containing his IQ scale, a temporary work plan, and so on.
Family Counseling and Support
The purpose of the organisation is the social integration of citizens living with visible and non-visible disabilities by creating the appropriate conditions for their equal participation in the social and economic life of our community. Based on the above, the organisation emphasises on activities that promote the right to education, the right to work, non-discrimination, gender equity, the right to receive social assistance, the protection of the rights of the child, and the right of people with disabilities to benefit from measures that will ensure their autonomy, social and professional integration and participation in Community life.
Wayana International Foundation has worked to support families of persons with disabilities in all aspects of psychological, cognitive, and physical life by preparing more than 150 workshops and seminars for parents, which include behavior modification – attention deficit hyperactivity disorder – autism – nutrition – sex education and more.
